(ABOUT ME)

I am Sum, meaning 'heart' in Chinese.

As a product designer with a unique background in law enforcement and financial crime compliance, I bring a diverse skill set to the tech industry. My experience spans digital professional coaching, automotive design, and contract management, with a focus on complex UX projects.

My journey began as a detective in Hong Kong, where I progressed from a Sub-unit Commander to roles at divisional, district, and Headquarter levels. This experience sharpened my problem-solving skills, resilience, and leadership abilities, which I now apply to my work in tech.

After relocating to Germany in 2019 and working in financial crime compliance, I transitioned to tech and product design. I have since collaborated with early-stage startups and an agency specializing in automotive design, contributing to UX projects for Volkswagen commercial vehicles.

I enjoy deep-focus remote work. But I also find those office moments precious—grabbing coffee, sharing design laughs, and catching that team vibe.

When I'm not designing, I dive into coding projects and new languages—always curious to learn how things work under the hood.
